15 different times throughout the summer, Montrealers have been treated to a free film screened in the warm outdoors, as part of the SAT & Quartier des spectacles "Downtown Screening Under The Stars" event at Peace Park. Fall may have begun and the weather may be a bit colder, but one final film will be showed this Friday, your last chance to enjoy a free movie beneath the night sky.

This Friday, at 9pm, Screening Under the Stars will join forces with The International Festival of Films on Art to showcase Imagined States of America by Alberta Nokes. The film delves into the culture of America and is inspired by the work of Quebec artist Pierre Guimond, so expect a surreal experience rather than your standard documentary.

A short film will also be screened titled ME - A Story of Performance. A choreographed dance shown through the gaze of various characters (the dancer, audience, as code), the film will be a break away from the standard style of presenting a performance.

Bust out the blankets this Friday for the final Downtown Screening Under the Stars will begin at 9pm in Peace Park/Place de la Paix (map). Head over to the official event listing for more information.
