TL;DR The church Église St-Jean-Berchmans in Rosemont is hosting a huge "vintage Christmas market." The event will be for one day only: Saturday December 15th from 9am-4:30pm. Check out the link to the Facebook event page below!

There are some huge and more "commercial" Christmas markets going down across the city like Montreal's annual Grand Marché De Noël or The Etsy Montreal Holiday Market.

However, there are other, lesser-known local and community-driven Christmas markets that are hosted around Montreal and most definitely worth checking out as well!

One such "vintage Christmas market" is going to be held at a beautiful church Église St-Jean-Berchmans which is located in the charming and trendy Pleateau-adjacent neighbourhood of Rosemont.

There are still a ton of things to do this Monday holiday!
  • Here's a short list of what's open and what's closed on Labour Day in Montreal.
  • If you're heading out, make sure to call ahead to your destination to inquire about reduced hours.

Yes, it's a long weekend! Three uninterrupted days to relax, have fun, and not think for two seconds about things like school or work, or other responsibilities until Tuesday morning. Not to be too depressing but it will be six weeks before we get another official long weekend.

But let's focus on the positive! This is usually one of the summer weekends that people are trying to pack in their last days of camping or chalet time. But if you're planning to stay in the city it's good to know what's open and what's closed so you can plan out your Labour Day weekend.
