Montreal’s Saint-Catherine Street Closed Off To Cars For Summer 2015

Normally when you hear that a street is closing, your thoughts generally turn to the negative. You'll think about changing bus routes and construction dust clogging up your lungs all summer long. However this, my friends, is a good announcement!

This year, Saint Catherine's Street will once again be closed from Saint Hubert to Papineau to host the annual Aires Libres! Aires Libres will be held from April 30th to September 7th, providing us with activities and installations for the whole of Summer 2015!

Aires Libres is a festival that celebrates both visual and performance art installations, coupled with the lively Gay community in Montreal to celebrate Pride and other related events. This year Aires Libres will be hosting Montreal Pride, The Montreal Fetish Weekend, FIMA and of course our favourite "Boules Roses", or the Pink Balls installation!

Check out the Aires Libres website for all the details.
