Montreal's Saint-Denis Street Is Shutting Down For A Massive "Street Art" Festival This Summer

With Francofolies and Just for Laughs up around the corner and the Jazz Festival in full swing (pun intended), Montreal's busiest time of year is officially upon us.

The street show series "We're acting out!" (À nous la rue! in french) will bring together some of the best street performers. Keep in mind that these aren't people who do this part time or just when there's a big holiday being celebrated; these people are professionals that do this for a living.

There's going to be everything imaginable from opera singers suspended in the air to a food truck that is going to double as a mini theatre. I seriously cannot emphasize how cool July in Montreal is going to be.

The performances are going to take place on St-Denis Street for the most part and are almost entirely free! If you're worried about missing one don't sweat it because there's going to be over 800 shows running almost 24/7 which is absolutely unheard of.

So if you're stuck downtown and don't really have any plans, take a look at the official schedule and go watch an amazing show.
