Montreal's Saint-Laurent Street Has Been Invaded By Reindeer

Christmas time/the holidays season is officially in full swing in the city. How do we know? No, not because of the Christmas displays on store fronts, nor the plethora of ugly Xmas sweaters people are sporting, rather it's the fact that at no time of the year other than Christmas can reindeer be seen on Saint Laurent and no one would bat an eye, which happened this past weekend.
Rudolph made an extra special appearance up and down the Main stretch of St. Laurent this weekend, much to the surprise of citzens, who all went understandably nuts to see a real reindeer walking along the street. Led by some colourfully-clad elves, Rudolph brought in the Xmas cheer, and in case you missed him, don't fret, because the red-nosed reindeer will be back next weekend.
Put on by Boulevard Saint Laurent, as part of the "Christmas on the Main" series of holidays events, Rudolph's appearance was a planned event, and thankfully not the work of some random reindeer owner. Rudolph's visit coincides with the two weekends prior to Christmas, meaning he will be back this coming Friday & Saturday.
You can see Rudolph and his elves, along with Xmas carolers, on Friday from 5pm to 10pm & Saturday from 12pm to 5pm. Get more info on all the Christmas on the Main events by heading to the official event listing here.
