Don't touch anything!
Montreal's STM Buses Are Absolutely Disgusting (Photos)

You've probably noticed that the bus service has been a little strange in Montreal lately.

Ever since the maintenance worker strike that happened 2 months ago, bus schedules haven't been the most reliable, many buses have stickers that say "99%" or "Bientot En Greve" (On strike soon), and the buses themselves are absolutely disgusting.

Did they just stop cleaning the buses altogether?!

It's one thing when the bus is a little dirty at the end of the day because of inconsiderate passengers who leave their garbage behind. But I’m not talking about an empty bag of chips, or a newspaper left on the seat.

I'm talking about horrifying, caked-on dirt that can only accumulate after weeks of neglect. I'm honestly amazed that the buses aren't infested with bed bugs yet.

Here are some photos I took on my last 2 bus trips downtown:

Here we have some nice mystery stains.

Tried to look down so I wouldn't have to stare at it, but that was a big mistake.

As for the seats themselves. Everywhere I looked I could see garbage, crud, hair-wads and gum.

The next bus was even worse, and the dirt there looked like it had been gathering for months!

The floors weren't any better...

Neither were the stairs...

Even the back of the bus wasn't spared.
