One thing that can unite all of Montreal, and never gets enough attention, is the soft, soothing, yet ever-informing voice of the STM/metro-lady. The psuedo-robotic and oh-so-familiar female voice lets hundreds of Montrealers know where they're going (or if a line is randomly shut down) on the daily, and is synonomous with riding the metro.

Now you can have the metro-lady's voice (who is Michèle Deslauriers, and not a robot, for those who didn't know) whenever and wherever you like thanks to ProposMontreal who have compiled mp3 files on nearly every metro-announcement.
