Montreal's STM To Have Metro Trains Every Two Minutes
The STM has announced that the Government of Quebec will invest 330 million dollars to built a new underground garag at the Côte-Vertu metro station.
Once construction of the garage is finished, STM will be able to add more trains during rush hour periods, especially on the Orange line.
This garage will make it possible for the STM to provide better service to all passengers. The goal is to have shorter intervals between metro trains during rush hour.
This STM says they will be able to increase their service by 25%, which means the interval between metro trains on the orange line would be reduced to 2 minutes.
