Netflix Is Going To Die Out In 2019

The competition is going to be unbeatable.
Netflix Is Going To Die Out In 2019

Netflix has had some pretty astounding successes in the past year — from the release of dozens of new originals to their $100 million purchase of the hit sitcom Friends after public outrage that the show was leaving the platform. The major streaming service even released their very own interactive film, Bandersnatch, Black Mirror's first feature-length addition.

TL;DR With 2019 being the year for brand new streaming services such as Disney+ and WarnerMedia, Netflix is expected to reach an untimely demise. The platform is already billions of dollars in debt and is ranking way smaller than its rivals.

But the saying is true, all good things must come to an end. So far, things aren't looking too good for Netflix in the future. This begs the question: is 2019 the year Netflix will finally die out for good? Well, it really does look like it.

What once was a streaming service that dominated the internet now has extremely intense competition. Just this year alone we should prepare for the release of Disney+, a brand new streaming service that will bring exclusive content from its partner franchises through Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars. The brand new shows and films won't be available on any other platform, including Netflix.

There are also rumours that Apple is launching its very own global streaming service later this year. So far, 2019 definitely does not look like a good year for Netflix.

This isn't even including the loss of revenue Netflix had at the end of 2018. Already $3 billion deep in losses, will they even be able to keep up with the streaming services that have already hit the market?

It's no secret that the 90's sitcom Friends is a show that gives Netflix a major popularity boost. Considering the streaming service spends millions each year just to keep it, there's no doubt that if the show left the platform so would thousands of subscribers.

Well, with WarnerMedia also preparing to launch a new streaming service which will include HBO, Turner and Warner Bros film studio content, they're going to have to decide whether or not they want to make Friends exclusive to their own service.

Netflix may be heading for an abrupt end.

Let's not forget that they're already in competition against Amazon's Prime Video, which has already led to Netflix upping its content budget 50%.

Now that brand new streaming services are preparing to dominate the globe with new and exclusive series and films not available on Netflix, will fans jump ship and end subscriptions? Will Netflix officially die out by the end of this year? Although only time will tell, it certainly looks like it.

Stay tuned for more information on Netflix and other streaming services set to release in 2019.
