Netflix Releases Trailer For Season 5 Of "Black Mirror" (Video)

Fans of Black Mirror have something to be excited about this summer. The CH4-come-Netflix Original series has just announced three new episodes that will be released on June 5th, 2019.
While many fans may have thought we wouldn't be getting a new season until Christmastime, it looks like the show has decided to go back to their roots and release a 3-episode season instead.
I couldn't be happier with the news, not only that there's a new season (with Miley Cyrus in it, HELLO), but I'm glad the creators have gone back to their short, UK-style 3-season episodes. The newer Netflix season felt diluted and less meticulously crafted, so this return to a 3-episode arc is exactly what I didn't know I needed from the show.
Check out the trailer for the three new episodes below.

You should've seen it coming. https://t.co/E5bYvVJjikโ Black Mirror (@Black Mirror) 1557914100.0
The Black Mirror Twitter account sent out these two tweets just hours ago and already reactions on Twitter have been abundantly positive.
Also exciting to note some of the more Hollywood actors that will be featured in these three episodes, like Miley Cyrus, Topher Grace, Andrew Mackie and Andrew Scott.
@blackmirror ANDREW SCOTT YES THIS IS THE BEST THING EVERโ :) (@:)) 1557918015.0
Ok, full disclosure: I didn't know who Andrew Scott was until I looked him up cause everyone was SO excited he was in this trailer. Turns out he's an Irish actor that plays Moriarty on BBC's Sherlock.
So while some people are kinda bummed that there are notable Hollywood actors, as the original show usually had mainly British actors from all levels of fame, I think it lends itself to the universe of the show to let it spread past Britain and into the world at large.ย

The excitement is palpable and I think that this teaser trailer is just enough to peak our interest without giving too much away.
One of the absolute best parts of Black Mirror is their ability to take a storyline and completely turn it on its head so that you never saw it coming.
For that reason, I hope there aren't many more teasers or trailers to come... and if they do come, I won't be watching them... I live for the surprise!
