Netflix Vs. Xbox One: A New Online Streaming Battle Begins

Original television shows are set to appear on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One in early 2014, as stated by Microsoft's president of entertainment Nancy Tellen.

Microsoft has already announced the creation of a Halo-based television show produced by Steven Spielberg, when the Xbox One was unveiled. A live action street-soccer program has also been announced.

Does Microsoft in the television streaming market mean bad news for Netflix? Given the vast amount of resources Microsoft has compared to Netflix, the mega-corporation could buy up all of the good original programs, the rights to the best shows, or even buy out Netflix completely and monopolize the tv-streaming market.
