It's official - R. Kelly has been indicted and a Cook County judge has issued a no-bail arrest warrant for the musician who is being indicted on charges that span from 1998 to 2010.
Charges will be announced later today and Kelly is set to appear in court on March 8th.

Currently, there is no official number of charges being filed against the 52-year old singer, though many reports are saying that there are at least 10.

These charges come after the submission of new video evidence.
While it's hard not to celebrate this breakthrough, there was alleged video evidence the last time Kelly was arrested in 2008. In that case, though, the evidence was insufficient because both Kelly and the alleged victim denied that they were in the video.

While Kelly continues to deny any allegations of this nature, this new video evidence was submitted by the victim, eliminating the possibility that both parties could deny involvement.
Kelly's claim is that he has never "knowingly" been involved with underage women. However, in addition to claims of having sex with underage women, the BBC docuseries Surviving R. Kelly alleges that Kelly has developed a "sex cult" that involves grooming women and then holding them, essentially as prisoners.

In addition to the allegations above, Kelly has also reportedly infected numerous women with herpes, which could result in further charges for failure to disclose his having the diseases before engaging in sexual acts.
