30. Hang Gliding

This is something I have always wanted to do, and the only thing that would make this better is if I could bring along my boyfriend and we could do it together. Imagine just soaring over the beautiful wilderness of Quebec, hand-in-hand with your honey. This is something you will never forget, trust me.

29. Rockclimbing

Now, depending on whether or not you've actually rock climbed before you can make this one more intense by climbing on actual rocks. But for real, you should not venture out into the wild before being properly trained. Hopefully, you know that. For you beginners still looking for a date that will be more fun than sitting on your butts in a movie theater, indoor rockclimbing is the place to be.

28. Flyboarding

Contrary to what you might expect, this isn't just an activity that happens in warm, tropical places or on fancy beaches. There are places only 20 minutes outside of Montreal where you can flyboard . Though you should probably wait until you won't freeze your butt off on the water. I always see pictures of people doing this and I can't help but wonder how it must feel to fly up there. How cool do they look? Well, you could look like them too.

27. Skydiving

When you think badass date, I am pretty sure that skydiving is going to come to mind. So obviously, I had to include it on the list. This is for all the adrenaline junkies out there. Skydiving is probably on everyone's bucket list, and crossing an item off that list with the love of your life is all the more satisfying.

26. Surfing

Now don't worry, you don't have to fly to Hawaii if you want to try out surfing. Oasis Surf at the Dix30 on the South Shore has an indoor surf spot that will make you feel almost as awesome as if you were to catch some waves in the ocean. I hear it's actually pretty hard, so this one will definitely be a challenge. If you're not afraid to get wet and like some physical exertion, try this out!

25. Learn to be a pilot

Imagine just being able to say "yeah, I know how to fly a plane". I personally think that this is a really awesome way to bond with your love. Also, it's freaking cool. Not only do you get to fly, but you get to be the one flying. And yes, this is a thing you can legitimately do.

24. Take a martial arts class

How awesome would it be to be able to just kick each other's butts? Obviously, there are more than one uses for martial arts, but fighting each other is a sure fire way to amp up your chemistry. Your bodies will be working and your killer instincts will kick in. Working up a sweat with your loved one is a great way to spend a date.

23. Go rafting on the St-Lawrence

How fun does this sound?! You can get wet and get close to your honey. And you can also get the absolute ride of your life. Rafting has always been something that I've been dyyyyying to try. And who knew you could do it right here on the St-Lawrence? You barely even have to travel anywhere. You can go for a walk in the morning, have lunch, rafting in the afternoon and still be ready for dinner.

22. Ride a chairlift at night

Tonga Lumina is a magical walk through a lit-up forest that will absolutely make your night. And yes, it starts off with a ride on a chairlift. In the dark. You'll get an amazing view of the displays and you'll get to cuddle up to your significant other high up in the air. I definitely want to check this one out myself and I think you should too.

21. Pole dancing

Now trust me, pole dancing is NOT just for girls. And if you're really looking to try out something new and exciting, you can't go wrong with this. You may even find out that you like it. And do not be fooled, this is a WORKOUT. You'll find yourself aching, but don't worry you're going to love it. Get in touch with your sensual side. And who knows, you may just learn a few tricks at the same time.

20. Hike up Mount-Royal in the dark

Now, this is definitely a bucket list item. I personally recommend doing this in the wee hours of the morning so you can also watch the sunrise. It's exciting, it's fun, it's even a good way to make your daily step count. And I cannot say why exactly but there's something just so romantic about looking out over the city at night, with all the lights lit up. Take it from me, take your special someone on this date. You won't regret it.

19. Skinny dipping

Now, this is definitely the kind of exciting date you've been searching for. Not only is it physically refreshing, but it'll definitely get you out of a rut in your relationship. It's sexy as hell on top of it. Whether you do this in a lake or a public pool in your building, there's an added excitement if you get caught, if you're into that kind of thing.

@monstertruck.nationembedded via

18. Monster trucks

Did you know that Montreal actually has some awesome monster truck shows? Now, I've never been to see them but from stories, my friends have told me they can be pretty darn exciting. Why not try something new? Shows are great, and can you even imagine how crazy the crowds must get? Obviously, it would be a little more exciting if you were actually driving the trucks, but you know baby steps guys, baby steps.

17. Mud race

I can personally attest to the fact that mud races are suuuuuper fun. It's exhilarating getting that dirty and not caring even the slightest bit about it. You can just jump into a giant pile of mud, in fact, that's the whole point! And don't even get me started on mud fights. Bring along your love and have a ball! There are tons of events like this and every single of one of them is bound to be a good time.

16. Ghost tour

I looove ghost tours. Walking around at night in the city and learning all about the creepy history is not only super interesting, but it can get a bit freaky. It's even more fun when you have someone to hold onto when you get a little more scared that you're proud to admit. Just being out at night can give you a rush, but trust me you'll feel right as rain as long as you've got your love there with you.

15. Cliff diving

Summertime is fast approaching (I wish it would get here sooner though) so we need to start getting ready dates that involve the outdoors. Netflix and a fireplace soon won't be enough. People are itching to get outside in the sun. So that's why I am suggesting cliff diving. You get to go swimming, but with a little twist. It will make your heart jump and for more than one reason. Try out Lac Brompton, it's just an hour and a half outside of Montreal and the cliffs are great.

14. Go biking in the dark

Though you can definitely grab a bike and do this any night of the year (well maybe not in the winter), Montreal hosts "Tour la Nuit", a night ride all over the city. It's really amazing to see all those people zipping around the town. But doing it in a more intimate way is also really fun. It can be super peaceful to just cycle around with your special someone. When no one is in the streets, it can be really amazing. Trust me.

13. Go-karting

Ever been go-karting? Want an excuse to drive like a maniac and not get pulled over by the cops? Well, then this is probably the best activity for you. And if you're in a relationship with someone like-minded who also enjoys a bit of a thrill ride, you should bring them along. And there you go, you've got yourself a date. It may seem silly if you think about it too hard, but it's a lot of fun so put your qualms about karting aside and have a good time!

12. Try out an eating competition

You know those contests where you have to eat some huge, unimaginably filling amount of food and then if you finish it you don't have to pay? Yeah, try out one of those. If you're someone who likes to eat and you're dating someone who likes to eat, then this is pretty much perfect. On top of that, if you succeed, you can get yourself a free meal.

11. Draw naked people

If you have any hidden art skills, or if you're complete crap at drawing (like me), then this is an unconventional date idea that just may make your day. Life drawing can be really interesting. I was forced to do it for a class once, and after I got comfortable with the idea, it was actually pretty therapeutic.

10. Start a food fight

Hey, don't knock it til' you try it. Every time I see a food fight scene in a movie I almost want to get up and start flinging food myself. It seems like a great way to get out all your frustrations and to just have a good time. And if you're a goofy person looking for another goofy person, this is a pretty great way to find your soul mate. Either way, if you're bored it will definitely be a good time.

@n.a.0.m.i.i.iembedded via

9. Bungee jumping

This one is a classic. If you're an adrenaline junkie, then this is definitely on your to-do list. Personally, the idea of jumping off a high cliff secured by nothing more than a string and a harness freaks me out to no end but hey, if that's your idea of a fun time then all the power to you. I'd imagine that going through something like that with your special someone will also strengthen the bond. Either way, this idea of a date will definitely surprise your honey and keep them more interested than a walk in the park.

8. Zero gravity yoga

Okay, I know that when you hear the word "yoga", you don't exactly like crazy and badass, but trust me, soaring through the air in zero gravity yoga in a super fun time. It's a workout and it's also relaxing. An excuse to get up close and personal with your significant other is reason enough to give it a shot. And who knows, you may just find yourself a new favorite hobby, and one that you can enjoy with your someone else.

7. Lazer tag

This is one of my favorite things to do with my friends and trust me, it isn't as lame as people make it out to be. The way to make this fun is to know when to go. Definitely, don't go during the day because then you'll be swarmed with children who take the game way too seriously. I'd wait for the overnight games so you can play hide and go seek with your date in the dark. It can actually be pretty exhilarating and it's definitely a good time. You'll have tons of laughs and you'll probably work up a sweat on top of it.

6. Archery combat

This one is definitely as cool as it sounds. I've been waiting to find someone who is game enough to try this out with me because it seems epically badass. You actually get to run around shooting people with bow and arrows. Okay obviously they're not real bow and arrows, we're not trying to kill anyone here. But they will definitely make you feel just as cool.

5. Shooting range

Know what it feels like to shoot a gun? Yeah, me neither. But you could you know! I'd definitely recommend checking out a shooting range rather than shooting a gun out in nature, but that's just a personal preference. If you're bored with your usual date ideas, then try a shooting range because why on earth not? You're definitely going to feel way cooler than you are and afterwards you'll be able to say that you know how to use a gun.

4. Go night swimming

Swimming at night is probably one of my favorite things to do. It's super relaxing because it's quiet and you're the only ones around. Just floating around in silence is therapeutic and will make you feel like you're one of the only people in the world. Well, not if you bring along your special someone. Then you're going to feel like you two are the only ones in the world. Also, if you have to sneak in somewhere that just makes it even more exciting.

@bpbaker20embedded via

3. Check out a skate park

Now obviously I'm not talking about one of those children-ridden skate parks. No one would really want to have a date there. Luckily for you, Montreal actually has a skatepark bar. So that means there are absolutely no children allowed. And you can grab a drink at the same time. This is a perfect date idea for a couple in need of some excitement. And if you discover that skateboarding just isn't your thing, you could just drink instead.

2. Boxing class

People who know how to box are just super cool in my opinion. Now imagine a couple that knows how to box. They'd probably be the coolest people ever. It's actually really easy to find a place in Montreal where you can take classes as a beginner. So why not try it out? You'll get fit and you'll have a new hobby to do with your special someone. Also, I hear that boxing is a lot of fun. You get to hit each other for sport. Sounds pretty fun to me.

1. Paintballing

Now, this one just may hurt a little bit, but let me tell you it's worth it. Depending on where you decide to go paintballing, you'll be able to try out a variety of different terrains and fields. I've actually never been paintballing but every one of my friends who has been said that they had an ammaaaazing time. Imagine if you brought along your significant other. Sounds like a pretty fun date.
