For the last few months Montrealers have been trusting BIXI to offer them free bike ride deals across the city. It's almost like a monthly tradition now, despite the deal ending soon due to the unavoidable winter weather.
TL;DR This Sunday, October 28 BIXI will be offering free bike rides across Montreal. At select pay stations they'll also be giving away two free movie passes to the first 50 people that show up. More details are below.
Luckily, BIXI is giving us one more chance this year to hop on a bike for free and take a trip around the city. There's no better way to enjoy the fall foliage and first snowfall of the season taking place this weekend. On top of that, they're throwing one more thing into this sweet deal.
What better way to end your day outdoors bike riding than to watch a movie for no price at all? Not just any movie either, but one you can watch at a museum.
Well, BIXI just made your dreams come true.
Free tickets to the film Anthropocene are being given out to BIXI users on the same day the promotion is going on this weekend: Sunday, October 28. Starting at noon you can visit one of these four selected stations, with the first 50 people receiving two free tickets to the show taking place on the same night.
The only stations offering this deal are:
- Mackay / de Maisonneuve station
- Beaubien Metro station (de Chateaubriand / Beaubien)
- Mont-Royal Metro station (Rivard / du Mont-Royal)
- Atwater Market station
All you have to do to grab yourself a free BIXI bike is select the "$0 One-Way" option on the screen at any pay station. Complete your purchase as you normally would and that's it - you now have a free bike for 30 minute intervals.
This is the last free BIXI weekend until next year so you'll definitely want to take advantage of all that's up for grab this Sunday only.
