I woke up this morning feeling like it was an average Monday, a little brisk outside, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Instead of being the normal Monday I expected, breaking news came out that feels like we are living in a James Bond movie.

Russian diplomats are being expelled from Canada in light of the breaking news coming out around the world surrounding Russian Intelligence officers.
Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland announced today that 4 members of Russia's diplomatic staff working in Canada at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Canada, or at the Consulate General of the Russian Federation(in Montreal!) are being removed from Canada.
The 4 people have been confirmed as intelligence officers or individuals using their diplomatic status to undermine Canada's security and/or interfere with our democracy.
Breaking news coming out of the United Kingdom about a nerve agent attack in Salisbury on a former spy, Sergei Skripal, and his daughter has sparked this decision, which is also seeing Russian diplomats being expelled out the U.S.
Freeland has noted the nerve agent attack on the soil of Canada's close partner, the U.K. as a "despicable, heinous and reckless act endangering the lives of hundreds." Source.

What are nerve agents?
Nerve agents are highly toxic chemicals that prevent the nervous system from working properly and can be fatal.
Nerve agents take different forms - including powder and gas - but they tend to be a liquid, which can seep through the skin.
What are Novichok agents?
Meaning "newcomer" in Russian, Novichok applies to advanced nerve agents developed by the Soviet Union in the 1970s and 1980s.
Variants of the nerve agent Novichok are reported to be up to eight times more effective than VX nerve gas - which was used to assassinate Kim Jong-nam in February 2017.

Former Russian spy Sergei Skripal, 66, his daughter Yulia, 33, and police detective sergeant Nick Bailey, were all exposed to Novichok in the United Kingdom on March 4. While still being investigated, reports suggest that Skripal may have been exposed to the nerve agent through the air vents of his car.
Canada has joined the likes of France, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland and Bulgaria (just to name a few) in the expulsion of fake-Russian diplomats from our Nation.
