Baseball Returns To Montreal For This Weekend Only
MLB Baseball is back in Montreal for two full games.
HUGE NEWS!!! Montreal Baseball and Expos fans REJOICE!!! The MLB is coming back to our city but for only 2 games in 2014. The Toronto Blue Jays will be stopping by to hit some dingers and steal some bases against the New York Mets.
75,000 tickets have already been sold, so if you were an Expos fan, you best get your tickets soon. The whole event looks to be an homage to Montreal's baseball days of yore, with a special visit from the infamous 1994 Expos team on Saturday.
A remembrance ceremony for Gary Carter, who passed away in 2012, will be held on the Friday.
If all this baseball-nostalgia is too much, and you're heart is wrenching for more Expos action, take a look at Jonah Keri's new book all about the Montreal Expos. For more info, check out Keri's AMA on reddit.
Baseball has not been played in the Big O since 2004 when "Nos Amours" the Expos' played their last ever game before moving to Washington, DC the following season. Relive some of the magic this weekend.
