It's official, the SAQ will soon be selling Game of Thrones wine across Quebec. The hit TV series has launched three types of wine, made in California, and we will soon be able to give them all a taste.
On the SAQ website right now, you can actually partake in the presale which should assure that you will receive a bottle (or all three) as soon as they arrive in Quebec.
Photos and more details on the three types of wine below!
TL;DR Game of Thrones wines are finally for sale at the SAQ in Quebec. You can soon purchase them in store, but the presale online means you can order your bottle (or bottles) right now!
The white wine, from House Lannister, is a Chardonnay. The SAQ describes the wine as having a "fair woodiness" with hints of "lemon, peach, flowers and white fruit."
The price point for this bottle is $28.30, and as I mentioned above, it is made in California.
The cheaper of the two red wines is the Red Blend from House Targaryen.
The wine is a blend of Petite Sirah, Syrah and Tempranillo, so it's likely a fantastic table wine for all red wine lovers. The SAQ describes the wine as "juicy" and "marked by ripe fruit, vanilla and roasted notes."
The most pricey of the three is the Cabernet Sauvignon, priced at $75.25. The SAQ describes the mouthful as "fleshy" and "dense" with "aromas of cassis, plum and pastry."
Not listed on the SAQ website is the Game of Thrones Pinot Noir, which you can see here and is priced the same as the Chardonnay and Red Blend.
However, the SAQ does have some of the Game of Thrones-themed spirits like White Walker blended Scotch, by Johnnie Walker.
