If you watch Rupaul's Drag Race then you know that the 11th season kicks off at the end of this month. And among the 15 queens in the race, is the first-ever Canadian queen to compete on the cultural sensation.
The Government of Canada (or the intern who runs the @Canada Twitter account) was apparently just as excited as the rest of us because they tweeted their support last week.
Since then, people from around the globe have expressed how impressed they are with the Canadian Twitter account and the Canadian government... to the point that they're ready to move!
TL;DR After @Canada tweeted their support and encouragement for Canadian drag queen Brooke Lynn Hytes, people on Twitter can't stop expressing their desire to move here... "where art is appreciated."
Here is the original tweet from the Canadian Government's official Twitter account, along with Brooke Lynn Hytes' response...
#Shoutout to Toronto-born Brooke Lynn Hytes, who will be the first 🇨🇦 to compete on the Emmy Award-winning show, RuPaul’s Drag Race! Canada is behind you as strut your way towards becoming one fierce superstar! 📷rupaulsdragrace/IG pic.twitter.com/9gqVUzxjdR— Canada (@Canada) February 9, 2019

It wasn't long before non-Canadians caught wind of the tweet.
And the reactions were pretty unanimous: clearly, it's time to move to Canada.

It looks like we've garnered more than a couple new stans, too.
I’m stanning @Canada so hard right now. Call me Stanada. Also this tweet has 10x the likes of any other recent tweet. Book her!— G. Quinn (@myorganicazhole) February 10, 2019
Coming to Canada just because of this!! Yaaas— Andrewpagonis (@Andrewpagonis1) February 10, 2019
People were all but ready to renounce their citizenship and make a permanent move to the great white north.
While we're obviously happy to accept any and all drag race fans, we have to warn you... winters are real up here.

Honestly, this is the kind of reputation I'm interested in having for Canadians.
Here's hoping Trudeau doesn't screw it all up with this SNC-Lavalin scandal... I'm seriously rooting for our boy, but things look pretty sus right now.

I wish my country was as supportive as this— Kai Thomas (@kaithomas_19) February 10, 2019
But whoever decided to put out this tweet, whether it was the fabulous intern or someone higher up, it speaks volumes of the kind of support most Canadians want to give to the queer community.
I hope this shows other nations that if you are willing to loudly and proudly show your support for communities that need it, people will notice. And they will truly appreciate it.
Wait, there's an @ for the US. LMAO. Issa no for me dawg. *Follows Canada— Rosalin (@IamRosalin) February 10, 2019

It would actually be so cool if RuPaul let every country have their own Drag Race... like The Voice only way more entertaining (and with more talent... ok, no sorry, I got carried away I didn't mean to throw shade).
Whether Ms Hytes wins or not, I'm so proud of her and excited to have our own little mountie prancing around on the big stage.
Other than our girl Brooke Lynn, who are you excited to see sashay down the runway for season 11?!
