Nintendo is launching nationwide tour to promote the Switch console this summer, inviting Canadians in seven cities to come together to play select Nintendo games and participate in daily competitive matches of Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Brothers Ultimate.

"This summer, there are games to suit everyone's way to play on Nintendo Switch. Visit us during the Nintendo Switch summer events to get your hands on some of the best games such as Super Mario Maker 2Super Smash Bros. UltimateMARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order, and so many more!" the Nintendo website reads.

"Everyone is welcome to join" Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. matches in "competitive zones" at each stop. Participants will also have a chance to "strike a pose in the Super Mario Maker 2 photo-op and share your pictures for a chance to win prizing!"

The full event schedule, taken from the Nintendo website, is as follows:

Burlington, Ontario

  • Sound of Music Festival: June 13 – June 16

Levis, Quebec

  • Festivent: August 2 – August 4

Montreal, Quebec

  • Just For Laughs Festival: July 17 – July 28

Saint-Sauveur, Quebec

  • Sommet Saint-Sauveur Water Park: July 26 – July 28

Surrey, British Columbia

  • Fusion Festival: July 20 – 21

Toronto, Ontario (two dates)

  • Pearson International Airport, Terminal 1: June 28 – July 25 
  • Canadian National Exhibition (CNE): August 16 – September 2

Vancouver, British Columbia

  • Pacific National Exhibition (PNE): August 17 – September 2 (Closed August 19 and 26)

Access to some of these Nintendo events will require tickets to their host festivals.
