Swoop, an "ultra-low fare" subsidiary of WestJet, holds as its mission to "make travel affordable, easy and accessible to all Canadian travellers," according to its Facebook page. It does this "by keeping costs low, passing the savings on to our travellers with low unbundled fares that enables a customized experience."
Today, to celebrate its first full year in operation, Swoop is offering a particularly exciting deal. For its "Birthday Sale," the airline is presenting Canadians with the opportunity to fly one way from Hamilton, Ontario to Orlando, Florida for just $99.
"Thanks for helping us paint the skies pink for our first year," Swoop states on its website.
Hamilton is one of Swoop's hubs. Its location far from the congested tarmacs of Toronto and among the dense suburbs of southern Ontario make it an easy point of origin for vacationing Canadians.
Florida is, of course, a popular summer vacation spot for Canadians. And though Orlando may be the most enticing destination in this sale, flights from Hamilton to Fort Lauderdale, Florida are also just $99.
Right now, there are over two dozen dates between the end of June and November with available $99 flights to Orlando. Cheap flights to Fort Lauderdale are more limited in quantity — all of them are between September and October.
Seats are limited on several of these flights so interested consumers have to act fast. Return flights from these two cities in Florida, meanwhile, range in price from $77 to $160 as of the time of writing.
Remember that prices are subject to sudden changes as seat availability changes. Refer to the Swoop website for more information on the Birthday Sale and available flights from Hamilton.
