A Massive Line Formed Outside The IKEA Boucherville Today In The Intense Heat (VIDEO)

On Tuesday, May 26, IKEA Boucherville, Quebec City, and announced that their doors are now open to customers again. The reopening likely created a lot of excitement among local residents, as huge lineups formed at the South Shore branch — even before the scheduled 10 a.m. opening.
The parking lot has been redesigned to ensure an exemplary physical distance and to comply with public health regulations.
So, a maze of fences awaited customers on this Tuesday.
X's were also placed on the asphalt so that people could stand at least two metres apart.
She shared a video of her wait on Facebook and got more than 200 shares and close to 29,000 views in just a few hours.
"It's like LaRonde," she says.
But, she explains to Narcity that, in the end, the experience went pretty well.
"Honestly, it looked a lot worse than it was," she says.
An employee reportedly told her that the store has a capacity of 1,000 people, which makes it easier to move around.
Arriving at 9:30 a.m., about 30 minutes before the store opened, it took her barely 15 minutes to get through the doors after the IKEA started letting people in, at 10 a.m.
"Maybe not for those further down the line, but in any case, I got home around 10:15 a.m. and it took me a good 35 minutes to go around and then at the checkouts there were two or three people before me."
75 minutes after entering the queue, she was in her car and ready to leave the scene.
In the video shown above, you can see the size of the line that stretches across the parking lot.
Several sanitary measures were easily spotted by the clientele.
"There are a lot of staff and they all have visors."
Access between the different sections of the demo room would have been blocked, so customers are obliged to follow the route set up by IKEA.
It is impossible to cut between the sections as in the past.
Isabelle also told us that, in general, people "seemed to be following" the instructions, although she did not necessarily come across people inside.
