It's that time of the year when we all start becoming forgetful because our minds are going a million places at once. While this is normal for the majority of us, it can have some consequences. One of them is spending money on things and then forgetting where we even put them. And what's one of the easiest things to misplace? Paper. And what's made of paper? Loto-Québec tickets.
That may have seemed like a stretch, but it's for a good reason. There are five Loto-Québec winners walking around the province that have no idea that they have thousands (even millions) of dollars waiting for them. And my guess is that they simply misplaced their tickets, meaning they haven't checked their tickets yet.
So, if you've bought a Loto-Québec ticket in the recent past, it's time to put your head on straight. Loto-Québec is currently searching for two people who have won over lots of $500,000 and $250,000 without claiming them.
When it comes to food, I don't believe in expiry dates. But, these two tickets are expiring on November 30 and December 1 of this year - so time is ticking!
And if you thought those two lots were high, there are also three unclaimed prizes of $1 million each whose owners have yet to collect their money. Those ones are set to expire at some point in 2020, which just a little reminder, is just over a month away...
TRANSLATION: "Well, it's serious. This is the LAST CHANCE for 2 lucky to claim prizes of $ 500,000 and $ 250,000 🤨 . In addition to that, there are 3 other lots of $ 1 million that have still not been claimed .. 😟 I want to be generous but here ... 🔥 retweet 🔥 we must find them!"
People like the person behind the Twitter account above are realizing the seriousness of this! Imagine having tons of money to your name and having no idea?
Loto-Québec's official Twitter page even retweeted this tweet - just in case you were wondering about the validity of it.
To narrow down the search, Loto-Québec has shared that the tickets for the lots of $250,000 and $500,000 were purchased in Quebec's Capitale-Nationale and Joliette regions.
The other three unclaimed tickets that won $1 million each were originally bought in Gatineau, the Laurentians, and Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.
If you can recall having bought a ticket there in the past, it's time to start going through all your old bags and wallets!
So, as Scotiabank likes to tell you, you may literally be richer than you think... Check those tickets, people!
