Montreal will be host to several outdoor movie screening events this summer. In addition to free screenings in a number of public parks, Montrealers will also be able to enjoy films while relaxing in the pool of the famous Bota Bota spa.
The enormous Aquatic Complex at Parc Jean-Drapeau, meanwhile, is opening its own outdoor theatre on water for a few select dates this summer.
Access to the screenings is free with the price of entrance to the complex.
"The park invites you to film evenings like no other at the Aquatic Complex. On three occasions during the summer season, the dive pool will welcome bathers comfortably seated in their tubes to attend a movie screening," the Parc Jean-Drapeau website states.
"Tubes will be available on site, but do not hesitate to bring your own! Moreover, the participants are invited to dress up in connection with the theme of the film!"
The three movies will be Jaws, Jurassic Park, and Dans une Galaxie près de chez vous, a Quebec sci-fi comedy. All movies will be in French with subtitles in English.
The complete screening schedule is below:
Jaws (in French)
Saturday June 29th, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Dans une Galaxie près de chez vous
Saturday July 20th, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Jurassic Park (in French)
Saturday August 31st, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
The movie screenings in the pool are a great, relaxing way to conclude a summer day spent exploring and lounging in Parc Jean-Drapeau.
