Fall is personally my favourite time of the year, the outfits are cute, the air is crisp (but not yet cold) and pumpkin spice everything has taken over our coffee shops. To top it all off, there is an abundance of amazing seasonal activities to participate in.
This fall is going to be even more special because, as Narcity Québec reports, Montreal is getting a new festival and guys… it looks amazing.
Feux Follets, taking place at Parc Jean-Drapeau, is a Chinese lantern spectacle. But it's not just a passive display — this show is an experience.
The festival of lights will feature 3D holographic animations that will appear throughout your evening. The show will also include contortionists, acrobats and shadow puppets. There will be fire-breathing portion of the event, singers (that may or may not be real) and parades featuring traditional Chinese costumes.
Organizers' goal is to allow you to connect with the realm they created. The shows are both interactive and immersive and will submerge you into a whimsical world.
The towering lanterns at Fire Fillets will dazzle you while constructing a safe space for your imagination to play. The enormous scale of the displays are meant to make you feel like you've entered an alternate, fantasy world.
The event will only last for about a month and a half this fall, so be sure to visit before it disappears!
This is an event that should not be missed. Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for students.
