The New "Thermal City" Spa On The South Shore Has Finally Announced Its Opening Date
Just in time for Christmas!
- The much-anticipated Förena Cité Thermale has finally announced its opening date.
- The spa complex in the suburb of St-Bruno-de-Montarville will one day also include a restaurant and hotel.
The month of December hasn't even started but we're already thinking about the winter holidays and all the things to check off the to-do list before the two-week peak of the season. Whether it's to get through a tough end of the semester, a rush at work, or all your holiday parties, you'll definitely need those few days off to relax and pamper yourself a bit. Thankfully, the brand new Förena, a huge spa on the South Shore of Montreal, will open just in time to go for a ride and relax to the max.
First announced in 2016, the spa town will finally see the light of day in 2019 after years of work.
While the inauguration of the Nordic spa was scheduled for last summer, it was delayed to December. This Tuesday, our colleagues at Narcity Québec find out that the official opening date had finally been announced.
According to a Förena employee, it should open its doors to the public on December 20.
Its opening date leaves enough time for eager visitors to bask in the hot springs and enjoy the many treatments before the Christmas madness begins.
The price for thermotherapy (baths) is just $65 and if you take a care package with that, it costs $55 before tax.
Photos of the finished installations have not yet been released but should be in early December. Indeed, from December 6, the spa will welcome the curious who would like to discover Förena and/or buy tickets and packages for the opening.
The Förena Nordic Spa, a $12-million investment, is the first phase of this huge project that promises to be one of the largest spa cities in Canada.
The second phase involves the construction of a hotel, a restaurant, and other pavilions. In total, this spa will extend over more than 600,000 square feet.
