Humans of New York is one of the most followed accounts on Instagram, with some of the most dedicated fans. The account, which began as a photography project in 2010, portrayed New Yorkers using a photograph and a quote. In the last five years, it has "expanded to feature stories from over twenty different countries."
If you're anything like me, you read the inspiring stories that Humans of New York manages to draw out of people and wonder what you would say in their place.
You may soon no longer have to wonder, as HONY has announced that he is coming to Montreal as of next week. He took to his Facebook page today to share a post, which has almost 20 million likes, asking for Montrealers' help.
Brandon Stanton, the name behind the page, stated today that he is "going to be in the city for a few days next week, and is "looking for an interpreter" to help "gather stories in French."
He goes on to state that, "English fluency is necessary of course, but more importantly you should have an open and engaging personality. The primary requirement of the job is putting people at ease!"
People interested in the job can contact Brandon with all relevant information at firstname.lastname@example.org. He states that you will be compensated for your time.
This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet a great photographer and be a part of a truly spectacular global project. Apply quickly! I have a feeling that this position will be filled fast.
You can find out more about the job requirements on the original Facebook post.
Humans of New York is in Montreal next week and he is looking for a French translator to help him share the stories of the Humans of Montreal.
