• It's the middle of September but it's going to feel like 34°C in Montreal this week, according to The Weather Network
  • Warm air is pushing up from the southeast, meaning we're getting another taste of summer this week.
  • Take a look at the forecast below - it's going to be a beauty this week!

I hope you all know that when I write these bizarre weather anomalies that are forecasted for Montreal, I have just as hard a time believing it when I read it as you likely do when we write about it.

Take this impending 34°C we're expected to feel later this week...

When I read that I twice checked to make sure I had the location properly set, because I couldn't believe such a high temperature was forecasted for us in the latter half of September.

But, according to The Weather Network, next weekend is looking like a toasty one, with Saturday and Sunday both reaching mid-to-high 20°C and the accompanying "feels like" temperatures are both expected to reach 30°C and higher.

So, while I feel like we just keep saying this week after week, this might truly be our last taste of summer. But whether it is or not, it certainly will be a great weekend to get outdoors and do something fun before that fall chill, wherever it is, finally sets in.

Below is this week's forecast for Montreal, and as I mentioned above, you'll notice that this coming weekend is when we're going to see those mid-to-high 20°C temperatures that are going to have Montreal feeling more like 30°C or 34°C, respectively.

The rest of the week is also going to be pretty beautiful, with today and tomorrow lingering in a more seasonally-average temperature range, but Thursday and Friday quickly picking up warmth as we head into the weekend.

The Weather Network has also released their own fall and pre-winter forecast and it looks like Montreal is going to continue to see the bizarre side of this transitional season.

The strong Bermuda high on the southeastern coast pushing up against a cool air track coming from the north means that Montreal is again trapped, as we were all summer, between two competing air masses that inevitably will clash.

This means unruly temperatures and the potential for increases in precipitation.

So, while we can't really tell the future here at MTL Blog, we can at least attempt to prepare you for it.

If you had plans for apple picking or a fall hike this weekend... all I'm going to say is you're going to want to layer up, just in case it turns out you need to layer down.

It's going to be a beautiful week, so make the most of it!
