- "Jane the Virgin" star Justin Baldoni is in Montreal to film a new movie.
- He seems to have taken some time to explore and said on his Instagram story that he's "falling in love" with the city.
I always knew I wasn’t the only one that had a love affair with Montreal and the fact that one of my celebrity crushes is roaming our city and falling in love with it is making me feel all the feels.
Justin Baldoni is best known for his hunky character Rafael on the epic series Jane the Virgin. Now that the show has sadly come to an end, I was wondering when the next time I would be able to see his gorgeous face would be.
While scrolling through my stories on Instagram today, I noticed that Justin Baldoni was in Montreal and I damn near lost my mind.
After composing myself, I was able to actually hear what he was saying and his words were music to my Montreal native ears.
“I think I am falling in love with this city” he says in one of his posts and it is safe to say that we are falling in love with him too.
The video was taken as he was roaming around charming Old Montreal, which is without a doubt one of the most striking neighborhoods in our city.
He then went on to share how bad his French accent is — something I am happy to help him with during his three-month stay in our city.
Although most of you know Baldoni from Jane the Virgin, I first discovered him on YouTube, where he directed a short documentary called My Last Days on Soul Pancake.
Baldoni was very passionate about sharing the story of Zach Sobiech, a teenage singer and songwriter from Minnesota who through music, touched the lives of so many throughout his short life.
Baldoni is currently in Montreal because he is producing the film Clouds, which is based on the impactful life of Sobiech.
If you want to get a taste on what this film is about, check it out, just make sure your tissues are near by.
I so look forward to seeing the film and do hope to run into him throughout these next three months.
If you spot Baldoni, let us know, but be sure to respect his work and space.
