Representing roughly 1% to 2% of the world's population, people with red hair are unique individuals and to celebrate them, the Roux Fest will be held at the Medley Simple Malt in Montreal this Sunday. It is, in fact, on the day commonly known as "Kiss a Ginger Day" that the event will be held. After so many years of living in the shadows, redheads are invited to kiss their beautiful hair and feast as they should.

That's why this charming bar on Rue St-Hubert decided that the least it could do was to offer a good beer - red ale - to its guests with the eponymous hair colour, completely free of charge.

For those who would prefer to stick to non-alcoholic drinks, Ginger ale will also be offered and you'll feel like you're in Scotland when you notice a burning fire set in the bar.

So, if you and/or someone that you love has been blessed with the gorgeous colour that few people are lucky enough to have naturally, you must attend the "Roux Fest" this weekend.

By the way, if you want to spend a good part of the evening there, you should know that the Medley Simple Malt offers various delicious appetizers.

The appetizer options include poutine, fried fish burger, marinated chicken leg, and nachos.

In any case, this day is for you and you must inevitably enjoy it on behalf of your ancestors who carry the MC1R gene... So, cheers!
