- Bar le Ritz and Drunken cinema are collaborating to screen Mean Girls in September, just in time for back-to-school.
- Drinking games are encouraged at this boozy event.
- The screening is on Thursday, so you don't have to wear pink.
Mean Girls is a back-to-school favourite for many reasons: the unforgettable quotes, the fantastic outfits, and the great cast, which includes Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Rachel McAdams and, as the event puts it, "everyone’s favourite hot mess Lindsay Lohan."
Of course, there's no better way to watch Mean Girls than with a big group of girlfriends and a couple of alcoholic drinks (because Amy Poehler is a cool mom).
Luckily for us, Bar le Ritz and Drunken cinema are organizing just that: a drunken viewing of Mean Girls with a drinking game "jam-packed with boos, boobs and booze."
Did you know that the movie is celebrating its 15th anniversary? That means that this iconic movie is now as old as some actual high schoolers. That's just one more reason to drink.
The event will be taking place at Bar le Ritz on September 12. Unfortunately, the event is on a Thursday so, though wearing pink is encouraged, it is not mandatory.
The event is hosted by Drunken Cinema, an organisation that puts together theatre and cinema viewings in various Canadian cities, as well as abroad.
The event is encouraging cinema-goers to dress like their favourite character, so now is the time to break out the scissors, the purple bras and the bunny ears.
The best part is that tickets are only $8, which makes it a pretty cheap outing. You'll be able to buy drinks at the bar, as well. Fetch!
