If you've ever spent time camping in Québec in July, you've almost certainly heard about the "Noël des campeurs," also known as "camper's Christmas" or "Christmas in July."

The quirky event is a summer-y take on traditional Christmas activities: le Noël des campeurs in Montreal will feature live music, urban camping and a ton of outdoor activities.

It's the perfect opportunity for those of us who start thinking about Christmas before Halloween is even over to get an even earlier head start on the most wonderful time of the year.

This Christmas festival will be taking place this weekend, starting July 26 and ending July 28. The best part? Admission is totally FREE.

This is the festival's first edition, and they hope that it will be a success with local residents. Let's hope that Christmas trees and Christmas carols are involved, because I am READY to get into the Christmas spirit early this year.

The event is the fruit of a collaboration between Parks Canada and the Montreal Christmas Village, who are here to make all of your Christmas wishes come true 6 months early.

The festival will be taking place on the scenic Lachine Canal, near the Five Roses factory and only steps away from the Old Port.

Their event website states that there will be "music and entertainment, open air drinks and dancing [and] outdoor games for young and grown-ups" at the festival.

Oh, and you will even be able to camp on Saturday night! Tent reservations start at $99 for a two-person tent. It's a unique way to experience urban camping.
