This Is The Last Week You Can Go To Montreal's Night Food Truck Market & Bar
Catch this market before it disappears until 2020.
- This is the last week that Alexandraplatz will host its Marché de Nuit until next year.
- The event includes a gathering of food trucks and DJs.
With summer coming to an end quicker than we would like, it seems all we're writing about are the 'last of' for Montreal parties and outdoor events. The latestgetting ready to close up shop until next year is the Mile End favourite Alexandraplatz Bar.
August 24 will be the last night you can experience their Marché de Nuit before the seasonal bar closes up shop in September. The night market is a huge block party with local artisans and vendors, DJs, and a ton of food trucks.
This is the place to find one of a kind arts and crafts, like jewelry and clothing from Quebec artists, or stocking your fridge with fresh seasonal foods grown in the area. Bring your appetite, because there will be a lot of food available.
There will also be Vélo Paradiso's projector-bikes on hand which will screen Wapikoni Mobile's best Indigenous short films.
The party starts at 2 p.m. and is open to all (yes, even the kids are invited) until 11 p.m. With so much to do, see and eat, it's best to give yourself enough time to try it all since they won't be back for another year!
Should you get thirsty, the market takes place in front of Alexandraplatz Bar, so you can grab wine, cocktails or few craft beers to get you through the night.
I love it when food trucks all gather in one place. It just makes it easy for my lazy, love of food personality. Some of the trucks that will be in attendance are Duck Truck MTL, Gaspésie Food Truck, Kebreiz Crêpes Montréal Foodtruck, Queen B et Mignon Churros & Nougat Mtl.
There will be music from DJs and performers Yaz & Sasha, that makeup Obsolète Collective, along with DJs Grondini, and Osteo.
This is the seventh year in a row for the March du Nuit at Alexandraplatz, and it really does attract the best artists around. The vibe is relaxed and low-key, keeping with the overall feel of the converted garage bar.
It's free to enter if you just want to look around. But you will want to have a few dollars available to try out at least some of the food.
Not like we need another reason to get outside and enjoy the last of the summer, but this is as good as an excuse as any.
