- Time Out, a giant new gourmet food hall coming to the Montreal Eaton Centre, has released its final list of local restaurants.
- Also at Time Out will be 3 bars, a cooking school, and retail space.
- It's set to open in fall 2019.
Downtown Montreal is getting a new food hall and I can barely contain my excitement. Time Out Market Montreal is opening its doors this fall in the new and improved Eaton Centre (which is also set to be the home of Montreal's first UNIQLO). The market promises to "bring the best of the city together under one roof: its best restaurants, bars and cultural experiences, based on editorial curation."
Montreal is just the latest world-class city to welcome Time Out. There are other editions in Boston, New York, and Miami with plans for expansion to Chicago, Dubai, London and Prague.
Though Time Out announced last year that it is coming to Montreal, it continues to tease details. The official opening date has yet to be announced, but we do know the market will host an impressive line-up of local eateries.
In the latest announcement, organizers unveiled six restaurants that will be joining the team:
The culinary talent announced today clearly includes some of our city's most loved and celebrated chefs from some of our city's favourite restaurants.
At Time Out Market, according to a press release, these praised chefs will be serving an “incredibly diverse range of cuisines at an affordable and accessible price" — something that we can all celebrate.
These additions will join eight other popular spots that had been previously announced, including Burger T!, Le Club Chasse et Pêche, Montréal Plaza, Le Red Tiger, Moleskine, Il Miglio, Romados, and Hof Sucrée by Hof Kelsten.
It's much more than a food court, however. Time Out Market will be a "new culinary and cultural destination" in the heart of downtown.
"Spanning 40,000 square feet, Time Out Market will give guests a true taste of the city with 16 eateries to choose from, a demonstration kitchen [...] three bars, a cultural space, and a retail area." Cooking school Ateliers et Saveurs will also host classes on site.
Although Montreal is no stranger to good food, having all these amazing options under one roof is something that we have yet to experience.
Time Out Market Montreal is what food lovers' dreams are made of and I can’t wait to check it out.
