Earlier this month, Montreal saw a string of 3 murders in 8 days. Officers suspect that at least two of the murders were related to organised crime in Montreal.
These murders shook many, because Montreal is usually considered to be a very safe city with few violent crimes. Fatal incidents are rare in Montreal: the metropolis averages about two deaths from violent crime a month.
But police are now seeking the public's help to find a car that may be involved in a murder which took place in Brossard on May 10. The car, a 2008 white Ford Fiesta, was found near the scene of the crime.
On May 10, a shooting took place in Brossard. The victim, a twenty-five-year-old man, was shot in the Pizzeria Sofia, located in the Quartier DIX30 shopping center. He died of his injuries on his way to the hospital.
The victim was not known to police. An investigation into the shooting is ongoing. According to police, the suspected shooter fled on foot. Police have still not found the suspect.

The Tweet reads "The Sûreté du Québec and the Police Service of Longueuil are looking for information regarding a suspect vehicle (white Ford Focus 2008, with one wheel cover missing (see photo) related to the murder which took place on the 10th of May in #Brossard."
The car was found on fire not far from the scene. Police also retrieved a knife nearby, at the 3 Brasseurs microbrewery. Police have set up investigation headquarters at the Quartier DIX30.
Police are urging anyone with information regarding the car to call the Central for Criminal Information line for the Sûreté du Québec at 1 800 659-4264. All information will be collected anonymously.
