It's that time of year. Starting tomorrow, the three-day Osheaga Music Festival will bring thousands of fans to Parc Jean-Drapeau to party the weekend away.
That's a lot of people all going to the same place, at the same times.
In an effort to promote public transit (and give a little relief to our already crowded roads), the STM is offering a special three-day pass for the weekend for only $17.50.
Located on the yellow line, Jean-Drapeau metro station is steps away from all the action — it's really the easiest way to get to and from the festival. Plus it saves you the hassle of driving and finding (and paying for!) parking.
The usual cost for the three-day pass is $19.50. Ok, it's not exactly the biggest saving ever, but with the recent STM hike in prices, we'll take what we can get.
The passes are only available to buy today and tomorrow but they're valid starting Friday, August 2nd at 10 AM and expire Monday, August 5th at 5 AM.
You have to head to the ticket counter (and actually talk to an agent) to get the two-dollar saving. The passes are only sold at specific metro stations though! Make sure to check out the full list at the bottom of the article.
Expect the metros to be packed this weekend. Because of the anticipated increase in the number of commuters, bike restrictions are in effect, which will suck for some of us. Bikes are only allowed on the metro before 3 PM on Friday and before 11 AM both Saturday and Sunday.
