The Tim Hortons donut roster now includes three new flavours "that Canadians are sure to dream about." The "Dream Donuts" are designed to mesmerize "with playful icing swirls and colourful confetti." The Canadian fast-food franchise first introduced the donuts at its "innovation café" in Toronto, where, according to Tim Hortons Chief Operating Officer Mike Hancock, the "guest response was overwhelmingly positive."

The Dulce de Leche Crème Dream Donut, with its cinnamon topping and cream filling, "will leave you wanting more than just one"

Canadians who can't get enough birthday cake should try the Strawberry Confetti Dream Donut, which is "dipped in pink fondant and is finished with a strawberry icing swirl with brightly coloured confetti sprinkled on top."

But most decadent of all is the Chocolate Truffle Donut, a combination of four types of chocolate.

The whipped chocolate filling complements the dark chocolate shavings and ganache embellishments.

If the promo material is any indication, the donuts will make for some great social media content.

The Dream Donuts, priced at $1.99, are slightly more expensive than their inferior counterparts on the Tim Hortons donut menu, which cost between $0.99 and $1.29.

But the few extra cents are well worth the reward.

The donuts are just the latest in a week of exciting Tim Hortons news.

The company is also launching Timbit cereal across Canada.

The chocolate-glazed and birthday cake-flavoured cereals will begin appearing in "major grocery stores" at the beginning of 2020.

"We all know how hard it is to resist Timbits, so we are very excited to be able to bring the fun of enjoying Timbits to cereal bowls across the country," said David Bagozzi, Vice President of Marketing at Post Foods Canada.

With the new Dream Donuts and cereals, it's going to be more difficult than ever to escape the pull of increasingly ubiquitous Tim Hortons products — but that's the point.

Be sure to check your local franchise menu before heading out to grab your Dream Donut!
