- If you're wondering what a "Playdium" is, it's basically a massive adult playroom!
- Find out all about the new Playdium coming to our province below!
The Montreal area is not to be complained about when it comes to entertainment. It's almost impossible to get bored if you're ready to leave home and discover new places. With this in mind, we're here to announce that there is another player coming to Quartier Dix30 in Brossard in 2020, with Cineplex planning to open the province's first Playdium there.
Playdium is a really trippy concept that will allow you to play several types of games, and then you can even have a drink or meal. It's like an adult playroom!
The location will be adjacent to Cineplex Odeon Brossard VIP and will cover an area of nearly 30,000 square feet.
In short, there should be plenty of room for your favourite activities.
The majority of this impressive area, two-thirds, will be devoted to games and attractions. These will be varied, ranging from mini-golf, bowling, virtual reality, to advanced entertainment.
The rest of the area will include a gourmet area, where bites on the go and delicious homemade dishes will be served.
"From classic arcade games to bowling and the latest in virtual reality, this Playdium will be the destination of choice for families and friends looking to relax, have fun and spend time together," said Ellis Jacob, President and CEO of Cineplex in a news release.
Construction will begin early in the new year and the official inauguration is scheduled for late 2020.
A first Playdium was launched in July 2019 in Brampton, near Toronto, and Cineplex already plans to open between 10 and 15 facilities across the country in the coming months. We still do not know if other cities in Quebec will be getting one as well.
Cineplex has been in the news a lot lately. In addition to the announcement of the sale to Cineworld, the company also announced its intention to open new VIP rooms at the Cineplex Forum in Montreal. The opening is scheduled for April 2020.
