It's official, the Canadian government has unveiled its job availabilities list for Canada's Summer Jobs Program. Since 2015, Canada's Summer Jobs Program has provided meaningful employment opportunities for over 70,000 young Canadians per year.
Starting today, young Canadians from sea to sea are able to apply for a summer job by accessing Canada's job bank. This year, there are over 85,000 jobs available. In Montreal alone, there are 5,348 jobs available! Don't miss your window to apply, as the deadline is on July 12th, 2019.
What's really cool is that for the first time ever, the Canadian government is allowing young people to apply via their online service or by downloading the Job Bank app.
Canada's Summer Jobs Program is a government-sponsored initiative that gives funding to organizations to help them create quality summer jobs for Canadian youth.
For a minimum of six weeks, you can work full-time between April and September in an inclusive and meaningful work environment that can potentially open many doors for your future. You must be between 15 to 30 years old and be able to legally work in Canada.
With over 85,000 jobs available this year, chances are you'll find one that you love. Job Bank not only pools job listings for the Summer Program, but also catalogues various online resources to provide you with a one-stop-shop for all your job search needs.
Last year, Job Bank received over 40,000 applications. Furthermore, the Summer Jobs Program created over 70,000 permanent positions across the country.
Employers that participate in the Canada Summer Jobs Program come from all sectors including the public, private, and not-for-profit. Federal and provincial government jobs are not eligible under the program.
