Canada's Top 100 Employers is an organisation that, for 20 years, has been ranking the best employers in Canada using eight separate criteria. A list is made for all major cities, including Montreal. The Canada-wide and Montreal-specific lists were both released two weeks ago, so we now know how many Montreal-based organisations are in Canada's Top 100.

The criteria for selecting businesses are the following: physical workplace, work atmosphere & social, health, financial & family benefits, vacation & time off, employee communications, performance management, training & skills development, and community involvement.
In Montreal, any employer with its head office or principal place of business in Greater Montreal may apply to be considered by Canada's Top 100 Employers.

Out of these 50 employers, 7 were featured on Canada's Top 100 List of the best employers country-wide: Bell Canada, Air Canada, L'Oréal, Pfizer, Rio Tinto, l'Université de Montréal, and Vidéotron.
