Warmth has finally arrived in Canada, which means that the travel bug has begun to bite! Thankfully there are plenty of options available to satisfy that itch. In addition to some great flight and cruise deals, Canadians may also take advantage of a pretty spectacular offer from VIA Rail.
This summer, the national rail company has once again made unlimited travel passes available to Canada youth!
Between now and August 31st, "avid travellers ages 12 to 25" can use the pass to "get the most out of summer by changing cities as often as you want!" according to the VIA Rail website.
The pass costs $599, but is valid for travel anywhere in Canada along the VIA Rail network.
Here's a complete map of the system:
Why not embark on a once-in-a-lifetime cross-country vacation? Start in Halifax, transfer in Montreal and Toronto, and take in the vast Canadian landscape as you travel all the way to Vancouver.
Venture into northern Manitoba and British Columbia if you're feeling extra adventurous.
Um, there's also free wifi along all routes! So you can document your travels on Instagram if that's what you're into.
There are some limitations, however. This pass is valid for "60 consecutive days" of travel in Economy class only.
Make this the summer of your life and live those backpacking fantasies!
