Unless you have been living under a very large and heavy boulder, you probably know that the royal wedding will be taking place very soon. On May 19th, to be precise.
Although Meghan Markle was born and raised in Los Angeles California, her ties to Canada are tight as she lived in Toronto long-term while filming the TV series Suits.
Markle and Prince Harry happily announced their engagement on November 27th 2017 and the media has been buzzing about the couple ever since. The buzz is not stopping any time soon. Meghan Markle even made it onto Time Magazines "most influential" 2018 list.
This side of the pond, Canada is celebrating along with the royal family. The Royal Canadian Mint has a proud history of celebrating royal milestones and they have crafted a very special commemorative coin to immortalize the union of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The silver coin made with Swarovski crystals was designed by an Ontario artist and tastefully features an engraved portrait of the couple based on one of their engagement photographs.
It can be ordered via the official RCM website at a cost of $104.95. (Its face value is $20.)
