Canada's Complete 2018-2019 Winter Forecast Has Been Revealed
Here's what you can expect.
The winter weather has been pretty crazy lately across most of Canada and up until now all the long term forecasts were calling for a mild winter this year.
But it looks like they were wrong because today, the new and updated winter forecast for Canada has been released and things are looking pretty grim for certain areas.
We now know if the weather we've been getting in November is just false start to the winter or a preview of the weather headed our way this season.
Time to find out if you're one of the lucky ones.
If you're too lazy to go into details, nothing summarizes things better than these two maps from the The Weather Network.
This winter Canada will be split into 3 regions and each one will experience a different kind of winter.
Canada's West Coast is the luckiest; here you can expect above normal temperatures with normal levels of precipitation in the north and below normal in the south. You can also expect an early Spring.
The Prairies are going to have a pretty typical winter with near normal temperatures as well as near normal levels of precipitation. Spring is also expeted to be pretty normal.
The East Coast unfortunately is in for tougher winter than normal. Here we can expect below normal temperatures, but luckily the levels of precipitation are only expected to be above normal in the Maritimes. We will be getting a little break during December and January, but winter is supposed to end with a "bitter conclusion'.
