The family had begun to offer a reward to anybody who knows where Kouakou is and can help to locate the missing boy.

Champion boxer, Adonis Stevenson donated $15k to the family to help find the missing boy - making the total amount offered by the Kouakou family $25k.

Since then, the police have been checking river banks, inside neighbouring areas, garages and neighbour's properties. Police say they have received over 240 tips about Ariel-Jeffrey Kouakou.

Today, the police are planning to deploy divers into the river - permitting that conditions are safe.

The family has seen wide-spread support in the search of their son through this GoFundMe page, which has surpassed the goal of only $1000.

"It's been very tough. The school's been very somber this week," says one of Monsieur Frédéric's colleagues, English teacher Dahlia Merlo. "We all love him. He's a very, very kind man. He's new at the school  this year, but he integrated very, very well. He's a cherished member of the staff."

You can get involved and help by donating to the family. Keep an eye and ear out there, and report any tips to the police by calling 9-1-1 or 514 393-1133
