Macaulay Culkin Actually Plays Kevin McCallister Again In A New Holiday Commercial (Video)

Kevin is now 38 years old!

Since its release in 1990, Home Alone has become a holiday classic. Its sequel, Home Alone 2: Lost In New York, which is possibily even better than the first movie, cemented the legendary status of the franchise.

The movie has coined some famous one-liners and even more famous visuals. Who could forget the image of Kevin McCallister screaming as he applies aftershave?

TL;DR Macaulay Culkin reprises the role of Kevin McCallister in a new commercial for Google Assistant. Scroll to the bottom of the article for the video.

For those unfamiliar with Home Alone (really, just watch it already!), it follows a young boy accidentally left behind as his entire family leaves for a Christmas in Paris. Poor Kevin has to contend not only with being alone for the first time in his life but also some bumbling thiefs looking to rob his family home.

Some pretty hilarious antics ensue. Kevin booby-traps his entire home.

Actor Macauley Culkin quickly lost his boyish features, however. In recent years, his image (shall we call it disheveled chic?) has become a recurrent feature on social media, especially in contrast to his innocent appearance in Home Alone.

Many thought the actor had left the franchise behind. But today, those presumptions have been proved wrong.

In a cheeky commercial for Google, Culkin reprises the role of Kevin McCallister — who is now 38 years old.

Culkin performs some of the most memorable moments from Home Alone — eating ice cream for dinner, jumping on the bed, and setting traps for robbers — this time all with the help of Google Assistant.

The video is quickly going viral. Watch it below!

Maybe now we can hope for a third Home Alone movie (ok, there was a third movie, but it featured a different actor and was severely criticized)?

The commercial definitely wins the title of best of the holiday season.
