Sum 41 Is Coming To A Quebec Music Festival This Summer
This is going to be more than just a half-hour of power.
If you've ever trashed your own house party cause nobody came, then you're likely going to be VERY excited to hear that Sum 41's tour is finally making it's way back to Canada this summer.
The Canadian rock legends are joining Rock La Cauze this August in Quebec and the weekend festival looks like it's going to be a head-banging good time.
TL;DR Sum 41 is joining the line-up at Rock La Cauze in Victoriaville, Quebec this August 10th, 2019. The festival donates funds to charitable organizations and this year the recipient is Répit Jeunesse. Details on the event and other musicians below.
Rock La Cauze is a two day festival just outside Drummondville in Victoriaville, Quebec that takes place at Parc Terre-des-Jeunes.
Not only is the festival back for another year, but they've also added a second day, doubling the fun.
In addition to Sum 41's set on Saturday, you can also see Hypmerize, a System of a Down tribute band, The Bladies, Vulgaires Machines, SUBB, The Sainte Catherines and U.SEED, and Wake Up, a Rage Against the Machine tribute.
Friday's line-up includes Caravane and Rhapsody, a Queen tribute band. More bands are sure to be announced soon, so check back here for the full setlist when it drops.
The festival pairs up with a charitable organization to raise funds each year, and this year they are working with Répit Jeunesse. The organization works to help street youth by guiding them, accompanying them, providing references and resources within the community.
The funds raised by the event will allow the charitable organization to maintain and even increase their presence at the ground level throughout the community. They use donations like this to create spaces for socialization, social participation, learning and integration for troubled youth.
I have to say, also, kudos to Rock La Cauze for inviting children under 12 for free. This means that all those rockers who grew up with Sum 41 and are parents now can bring their kids for free and still enjoy the weekend without paying for a babysitter.
