Over the past week all the summer villages began to open, terrasses started rolling out to curbside, our local Gaybourhood is back to its top form and closed off all traffic.
Summertime party vibes are in the air. Can you feel them? Are you excited? Montreal, 2018 is where it's at right now!
The newest seasonal Jardin in Montreal could be the coolest yet. The organizers have been hard at work building this beast, and they're finally ready!
They just opened up to the public last night, and tonight they are celebrating their seasonal grand opening!
La Station F-MR is the brand new pilot project that sees Montreal's old metro cars being repurposed into a fabulous summer village full of local artists and artisans, cafes and boutiques and a free concert zone.
Tonight, for their big grand opening party F-MR Station has lined up a crew of talent DJs to keep the beats pumping past sunfall. They will be opening up their Phi Centre village shops featuring local designers and artists!
And of course, the local beers will be flowing, too! With great food and a big terrasse, what could be better? Oh - did I mention this Jardin is along Lachine Canal? With stunning views of the city skyline and iconic Farine Five Roses building.
I am super pumped to see this project set-up on the Canal. This is my favourite area, and I'll bet this will be the best summer Jardin over 2018. With all the old metro cars being repurposed, this will be the coolest.
It's worth noting that F-MR Station will only be around until September, but the company behind this brilliant summer village has plans to set-up a permanent station in 2020, featuring 8 repurposed metro cars.
Here's the important info for tonight's opening:
