After yesterday's coffee cup fiasco, all of here at MTL Blog had a bit of a field day thinking about all the times that Game of Thrones had managed to mess up despite their enormous budget.
So I had to take to Twitter to see what kinds of things people had noticed in the past when it comes to serious fails in the Game of Thrones universe.
To be honest, it wasn't that hard.
Everyone remembers the classic truck in the background fail.
This, alongside the coffee cup from last Sunday's episode, shows that even the biggest budget shows still managed to overlook things. I'm just surprised that no one saw the damn thing in post-production and thought about Photoshopping it out or something!? Like, this technology must exist.
But these two things aren't even the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Game of Thrones editing fails. Take a look at the photos below.
It started with the tweet above, where one fan questioned why the landscape around King's Landing all of a sudden looked like a straight-up desert.
It didn't take long for more people to notice as well, and the tweet below really shows the incongruities of the clearly CGI'd settings.
How can one place look so different from one shot to the next? Unless this is some kind of environmentalism subplot none of us are picking up on?
It looks like they even took the time to change the geography in the intro map.
Honestly, at this point, it feels like the creators are just rushing to get it done and over with, which is such a waste of a final season for such a beloved show.
Hopefully, this is the last of the GoT fails we notice... but if anything else comes up, y'all know we'll be writing about.
