The SQDC (Société québécoise du cannabis) are opening their doors at 10:00 am this morning. They are fully stocked and ready to welcome the customers that have been eargerly awaiting the new marijuana stores to open.
According to some, people have been lining up since 4:00 am to be among the first to buy weed legally in Montreal.
And if you're planning on heading over there later, you might as well take a look at the menu in advance so you can now the different types of marijuana available and the prices.
Right now the price seems to about $10/gram, but some types cost only $8.50/gram. So far there doesn't seem to be any discounts if you buy a larger amount.
Rockstar for example costs $35.30 a for 3.5 grams and 15 grams costs $151.00 so there doesn't seem to be any advatage in buying in bulk other than saving a few cents.
Here are some more photos of Quebec's "marijuana menu".
The prices are posted at a Montreal cannabis store. There's a wide range.. and wide variety. #sqdc says they are currently stocked with 130 of 150 products (that includes accessories) Legal cannabis is on sale tomorrow in #Canada pic.twitter.com/DNYnJijexQ— Cindy Sherwin (@CSherwinCTV) October 16, 2018
In the pride and excitement of this historic day, we must remember how much work we have left to do: Some @La_SQDC prices are 10-25% LOWER than what cannabis patients will pay for same product.
