It's been a long time coming. In fact, it's way overdue.
The president of the United States of America, Donald Trump will be heading to Canada on June 8th for the G7 summit.
This is the first time the President visits Canada since he's been elected.
Normally whenever a new US president gets elected, Canada is either the first or second place they visit. In fact the last 5 American Presidents visited Canada between February and April.
Yet somehow it's been a year and a half since Donald Trump was elected and he still has not set foot on Canadian soil as President.
And according to his Twitter he doesn't seem too excited about coming to Canada, so who knows whether this visit will have a positive effect on Canada / U.S. relations.
Isn’t it Ironic? Getting ready to go to the G-7 in Canada to fight for our country on Trade (we have the worst trade deals ever made), then off to Singapore to meet with North Korea & the Nuclear Problem...But back home we still have the 13 Angry Democrats pushing the Witch Hunt!— Donald J.
