One of the biggest game development summits to be held in Montreal every year is all set to take its game to the next level in 2017.

The Montreal International Game Summit (MIGS), already a magnet for the most talented professionals in the field of game development, will be addressing such current topics as gender neutral/inclusive gaming, mental illness, cultural identity, and Muslim representation in games.

In a nutshell, what makes this edition of the summit different from those of the past is the extent to which it will be exploring the complex subject of enabling marginalized audiences to feel included.

The video game industry in Montreal is booming like never before. At present, it's the third largest in the world, playing host to such giants as Ubisoft, Eidos, Square Enix, Warner and Motive Studios (EA). In addition, there are over 200 independent studios in Montreal.
